COMING TO 2026 FILM FESTIVALS

A raw and unflinching story of survival, connection, and the fight for access in a world not built for them.

  • “This is not a veteran story. It is a tale of being human; overcoming fate, fear, pain and loneliness."

    Colonel Juarez, USMC - Retired

  • "Cannot wait for the world to see this."

Joe Delagrave, Head Coach Team USA Wheelchair Rugby

    NOAH CURRIER

    DIRECTOR / PRODUCER

Noah is a Marine Corps veteran, quadriplegic, and first-time filmmaker. Three days after returning home from combat, and at just 21 years of age, a car accident left him paralyzed from the neck down. Unwilling to accept a life on the sidelines, Noah founded the Oscar Mike Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to keeping injured veterans ‘On-the-Move’ through adaptive sports and community.

Sum Function marks Noah’s debut as a filmmaker — a story told from inside the community it represents. With raw authenticity and punk-rock roots, Noah brings a unique perspective as both director and subject and proves that disability does not end the fight — it changes the arena.

    NICK CAVALIER

    CO-DIRECTOR

With a background in directing documentaries, branded films, and narrative shorts, Nick’s bold and cinematic approach often explores themes of identity and the human condition. His feature documentary Forced Perspective (2015) won multiple festival awards and was recognized for its intimate portrayal of artist Derek Hess.

As co-director of Sum Function, Nick brings an artful filmmaker’s eye to Noah’s lived experience. Together, they balance raw vérité footage and crafted cinematic moments to create a film that is both emotionally and visually powerful. Nick is passionate about elevating underrepresented voices and helping first-time filmmakers bring their vision to the screen.

    ANDY BATHRICK

    EDITOR

Andy is a seasoned editor whose two decades in the industry have been defined by shaping how stories are seen and remembered. Having worked for Disney, Universal, and on campaigns for every major studio and streaming platform, his fingerprints can be found on some of the world’s biggest blockbusters and Super Bowl spots.

Sum Function marks Andy’s first full-length feature film — a leap from defining campaigns to helping craft the story itself. With a sharp eye for pacing and emotion, he brings a cinematic sensibility that bridges the gap between Hollywood polish and raw, human storytelling.

    DANIEL KWON

    CINEMATOGRAPHER

Daniel is a Chicago-based cinematographer whose visual voice is defined by bold intimacy and a relentless search for truth. Over years of framing and chasing light, he has carved a reputation in community and creative spaces for bringing life to the quiet moments — the moments no one else notices.

Sum Function is his most ambitious project to date — his first feature film in this role. Having distinguished himself in advertising, content, and creative shorts, he steps into this larger canvas with empathy, grit, and precision. Always behind the lens yet deeply embedded in the story, Daniel proves that how we see something can change what it means.
